Officially OBSESSED with my cut and balayage. Irina was brilliant. I think it was the first time someone actually KNEW HOW to do a real balayage. … I immediately just felt better and more beautiful. She’s extremely intuitive. Extremely knowledgeable. She’s an artist!
I am absolutely thrilled with how my hair turned out! Since this was my first time getting a balayage, I wasn't sure what to do, but Evgeniia was fantastic. She used her expertise to recommend exactly what would look best, and the results are stunning. … She is a true professional who delivers beautiful, natural-looking results.
I highly recommend Hair Art Designs salon and Iryna! It was my first visit and it was the best experience I have ever had in my 44 years! … I really wanted to get rid of yellow and horrible orange tones and she did it, I have beautiful ash blonde, I am so happy that I found my FOREVER salon and HAIRDRESSER ♥️

Where Technique Meets Artistry At Hair Art Designs, we believe exceptional hair color begins with understanding the individual. Led by founder Iryna, a balayage specialist with a passion for freehand coloring, our approach combines artistic vision, technical precision, and thoughtful customization. Every balayage is created with intention, considering your natural hair color, texture, haircut, and lifestyle. From subtle dimension to bold transformations, our goal is to create beautiful, personalized results that enhance your individuality. Because beautiful hair color is never one-size-fits-all.

Evgeniia — Trained at Vidal Sassoon. A former lawyer turned precision colorist with a meticulous, architectural approach to placement.
Soft, lived-in dimension on long, wavy hair
Balayage is a French word meaning “to sweep.” It’s a freehand hair-coloring technique in which lightener is strategically hand-painted onto the hair to create customized dimension, brightness, and a seamless blend. At Hair Art Designs, we specialize in traditional hand-painted balayage using clay lightener. Every application is tailored to your hair, whether you’re looking for soft, sun-kissed dimension or a brighter, more dramatic transformation. One of the beautiful benefits of balayage is its soft, natural grow-out. Depending on your desired look and hair goals, maintenance appointments can be spaced 3–6 months apart.
Foliage uses foils to create balayage-like results. It’s fine, but it’s not the same thing. At Hair Art Designs, every balayage is hand-painted and custom blended, because every client is different. We don’t shortcut the technique with foils, and we never call highlights balayage just because it’s trending.
We look at your hair’s history, texture, and current color, and talk about what you want and what you don’t. Reference photos help, but we care most about the feeling you want your color to have: soft and subtle, bold and high-contrast, or sun-kissed and warm.
Based on your hair type, desired result, and how much lift your hair can handle, we formulate a custom lightener blend. Every formula is thoughtfully customized to your hair’s unique needs and desired result.
Lightener is painted on in sweeping, graduated strokes: heavier through the mids and ends, softer at the root, with face-framing brightness where it flatters you most.
Timing varies by hair type and desired lift. Because balayage is painted in open air, your stylist watches the color develop in real time and adjusts as needed.
After lightening, we customize your final shade using professional toners from Wella and Redken. From cool beige blondes and warm caramel tones to dimensional bronde balayage and rich, expensive brunettes, every shade is thoughtfully created to complement your features and enhance your natural beauty.
Healthy hair is always our priority. When needed, we incorporate professional repair treatments from K18 and Wella to help strengthen and restore hair after lightening. We finish with a beautiful blowout to reveal the dimension, movement, and shine of your new color.
Plan for 2 to 3.5 hours depending on complexity. A half-head balayage on fine hair might take around 90 minutes; a full head on thick, long hair with multiple tonalities takes longer. We don’t rush artistry.
When done correctly by an experienced colorist, balayage is one of the least damaging lightening techniques. Because lightener is painted on the surface rather than saturated through full sections, less hair is processed. We also use K18 and Milbon repair treatments to maintain your hair’s integrity.
Balayage is designed to grow out beautifully. Most clients come back every 10–16 weeks, and some stretch to 20 weeks for a very lived-in look.
Absolutely. Dark hair takes to balayage beautifully: the contrast between your natural base and the lighter painted sections creates stunning dimension. Iryna has extensive experience with dark hair across all textures and ethnicities.
Sometimes. It depends on your hair’s history and current condition. We’ll start with a consultation, and you may need a color correction or a staged approach over multiple sessions to get there safely.
Use a color-safe shampoo and conditioner; we carry IGK (vegan, cruelty-free) and Milbon at the salon. A purple shampoo once a week keeps brassiness at bay, and use heat protection before any hot styling tools.
